Why am I running for trustee in my ward and why should you elect me? What motivated me to seek election as a School Board Trustee was, and always has been, the underlying motivation to do more for my community. Schools and education are the primary foundations of communities, as they connect families and support the growth of students who will one day be the very adults that are the pillars in their own community. This is an opportunity for me to help affect positive and meaningful impacts in my community, by supporting students and advocating on behalf of the voices of the parents, the students, the families, and the educators.
You should elect me because I understand the importance of this role and of student well-being and success. To date, much of my advocacy in the community has been about social equity; in many ways, the trustee role is no different. Education is critical, and support is needed in order for students to thrive in the learning environment. Trustees must ensure that decisions and policies are always student-centered and equitable to all students. Through my experience as residence advisor in University, I recognize the importance of diversity, inclusivity, and community support. In fact, I was responsible for providing some of that support, being an advocate for inclusivity and diversity, and even facilitating the resolution of conflicts.
Above all else, I understand that this role is about listening to your community and advocating on behalf of their voices. I am eager to listen. I am eager to learn. I am eager to work together to strive for the best educational environment possible.

If elected, the first priority will always be the same as stated in “why me?” — listen to my community and ensure their voices are heard and valued in decision-making processes. Beyond this, my specific priorities are to advocate for greater utilization of outdoor and nature-focused learning, and responsible use of technology. I would look to further engage with community partners to continue to support and help facilitate the creation and care of outdoor learning spaces. Similarly, I believe there is room for further policies on technology, especially as it relates to both screen time and the further development of AI-related policies.

Normally, one of the ways campaigns ask for support is in the form of donations. However, I recognize that we are in the midst an affordability crisis, and therefore I cannot in good conscious ask for or accept monetary support this campaign.
In lieu of financial support, if you wish to support me directly, please contact me via one of the options below if you are interested in assisting with door knocking or election day support. Otherwise, the biggest supporting action you can provide is simply spreading the word about my campaign and the upcoming election.
